Welcome to the Hope for the Homeless Wish List.
Hope For the Homeless was founded in 2007 by a few volunteers distributing sandwiches, coffee juice and clothes every Saturday at Kennedy Plaza and Crossroads Rhode Island. It now serves 300-500 weekly. We, who are blessed with shelter and food, graciously care for the less fortunate. It is our way of giving thanks. Our goal is to remove the plight of the homeless community in Providence and surrounding areas.
This year on November 8th , we will hold our 2nd annual Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. Our objective is to reach out to organizations, individuals, businesses and churches throughout Rhode Island to help in providing the homeless community with back packs filled with essentials i.e. socks, hats, gloves, toiletries, etc. All donations collected will be used solely to provide HELP to the homeless. Your participation in this endeavor will assist us to continue our service helping those in need.
We need your help! Please donate as much as you can of the following items of need. We need all donations to be received by October 20th 2008 for our November event; however you can support Hope for the Homeless year-round through this Wish List.
Your charitable donation will be shipped directly to The Hope for the Homeless c/o Jan Houde within 10-14 business days.
