Welcome to the Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition Wish List.
Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition (TWRC) is an emergency care and rehabilitation facility for orphaned, injured, and ill native Texas wildlife with the objective being to release these animals back into the wild. In addition to veterinary and rehab care, TWRC is also engaged in public education regarding wildlife and wildlife issues, giving presentations in schools and to civic and community organizations. During the spring and summer months, the organization operates an in-house Baby Bird Program, which requires about 250 volunteers feeding orphaned or injured baby birds 12 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Through the Baby Bird Program, an estimated 2,000 birds are raised and released back into the wild each year. Established in 1979, TWRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit which receives no federal or state funding, and admits approximately 5,000 animals per year in need of care.
